Who can enrol at The Centre?

Our service currently caters for children attending Westmead Public School. We provide before and after school care during school terms.

What hours are you open?

Before school care runs from 7:00–9:00 am. The standard after-school session is 3:00–6:00 pm, with an optional extended session to 6:30 pm for an additional charge. We do not offer vacation care during school holidays.

Can I choose just the days I need?

Yes. There is no minimum number of permanent sessions. Families may request the mornings or afternoons that suit them, subject to vacancies. See our 2027 fees for session costs.

How do I enrol, and can we visit first?

Begin by submitting an online application through HubWorks. Our team will review your application and arrange a short orientation, where you and your child can tour the service and meet educators. Applications and places are subject to availability.

Do you accept casual bookings?

Yes, subject to available places and staffing arrangements. Request an additional casual session by phone, text or email. We prefer 24 hours' notice but will try to accommodate emergencies. A booking is not confirmed until our educators reply and accept the request. We cannot take additional children once the service reaches capacity.

Are breakfast and afternoon tea provided?

Yes. Breakfast is provided during morning care, and afternoon tea includes fresh fruit and vegetables each day plus a changing snack menu. We aim to cater for dietary requirements where possible. For severe or complex allergies, families may need to supply suitable food by arrangement with the service.

Can I get Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

CCS is available to eligible families. Your entitlement is assessed by Services Australia. Our four-step CCS guide explains how to apply and confirm enrolment through myGov and Centrelink.

What happens when my child starts Kindergarten?

Our educators welcome new Kindergarten children, support them as they settle in, and escort them between The Centre and the Kindergarten school handover area. Children are supported by experienced educators in bright yellow uniforms. See our Starting Kindergarten 2027 guide for the full routine.
